About the Job:
Our Solutions Engineers possess the highest levels of both business and technical acumen - understanding customer business drivers; match those to Akamai's technology, and clearly articulating complex solutions to prospective customers.
You will use your Internet expertise to drive revenues by managing the technical pre-sales process and to evangelize Akamai's technology to prospective customers, and to drive new product and service offerings. You will work closely with direct sales to educate prospective customers about the superiority of Akamai's services - this includes conference calls, site visits, presentations, technical evaluations, technical objection handling, proposals, and follow up on all customer related issues. You will work closely with R&D and Product Management to develop future product direction and strategy - providing valuable input from "the field". You will oversee the customer proposal process and ensure that all technical information and recommendations address customer requirements. You will support and educate Sales, Marketing and other internal departments to ensure that customers get appropriate updates, upgrades and event-oriented solutions. Lastly, you are expected to show high standards of leadership - actively developing and mentoring junior staff within the Solutions Engineering and Sales organizations.
* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field
* Overall Experience: 5+ years or equivalent experience
* 2 years experience in a customer facing environment such as sales or technical consulting
* Desired knowledge of Internet technologies, such as HTTP, DNS, SSL, etc.
* Desired :- knowledge of LAMP system designs and setups
* Must have experience developing and enhancing strong client relationships
* Must be willing to travel to approximately 30%
Education:UG - Any Graduate - Any Specialization/PG - Any Postgraduate - Any Specialization.
